Popular Post Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted May 10, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted May 10, 2021 Pretty much nothing over the weekend. Family came over Saturday for Mother's day, and yesterday (as you know) was a complete washout. Today it's still to wet to do anything in the yard, but Marie had ordered some lawn furniture so I guess I'll go pick it up. Cal, FlGatorwood, Thad and 5 others 8 Quote

Popular Post kmealy Posted May 10, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted May 10, 2021 Four of us assembled legs, routed edges and corners on tops, legs, and aprons, cut pocket holes in aprons, assembled aprons, drilled pilot holes in legs, then assembled 12 coffee tables at the furniture bank. Two hours. I think we have the system down Came home and worked on the memory candle display. Then wife informed me there was a cluster of bees on one of my hives, so suited up and checked out. 45 minutes later, they were either gone to a new home or back in their old one while I was setting mole trap, taking out the garbage cans, and doing more in the shop. steven newman, FlGatorwood, Cal and 9 others 12 Quote

Popular Post FlGatorwood Posted May 11, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted May 11, 2021 Got the yard mowed, more chipping (almost finished) and started sanding today. Rained this morning, making it easier to sand. Will sand the back and end and start coating with primer, then a coat or 2 of paint. Can't wait until it is finished. Having turning withdrawals. Popular Post Gene Howe Posted May 11, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted May 11, 2021 (edited) It's Tuesday and still cutting insulation. SHOULD be done by 10:00. The 3M 77 worked well to hold the insulation on the walls but it doesn't work for the lid. I'll be installing metal screws in the ceiling girders to hold wires strung across each bay. 3M 90 would've worked but Covid screwed up the supply chain. At least, that's what I'm told. Had a heck of a time locating the 3M 77. At any rate, I'll be screwing around for the next few days. Lots of ladder work. This phase of shop construction sure has it's ups and downs. ....so to speak. Just the wall insulation has made a noticeable difference, though. In the hottest part of the day, yesrerday, working in there was somewhat comfortable. Covering the ceiling will make a huge improvement. Edited May 11, 2021 by Gene Howe HandyDan, HARO50, steven newman and 7 others 10 Quote
