Ok folks time to step up to the plate. What did you make for Mother?

 

I made my first mirror. Yes it could have been better. Next will be thicker. The head is oak with figure, think it is white oak crotch. Handle is Bucote I have had for a while. I had a problem with a huge tearout when parting handle so placed a Swarovski crystal in it. Think I will be making more of these.

    I think I may try one of them for my next turning challenge. I'm pretty sure it won't come out that nice. Guess I need to get the mirror first.
