Thanks Steve, may have to assign you the Monday Topic.

Monday started off with a 45 minute traffic delay because they felt the need to close a major Interstate exit.  Upon passing it by going the back way they were NOT working on it, had not worked on it and according to a news report they couldn't figure out why they needed that exit closed.  So 25 mile ride to work normally takes 35 minutes,  today = 1 1/2 hrs.

Yeah I enjoyed that....

Cut the grass tonight and did some work on my latest cabinet for the finishing room.  Alot more to do but moving along pretty well.

They've got one of those portable information signs down the road from us, it states Road Construction beginning 4/5.

The only thing they've done so far is drop off barricades and barrels then come back and put about half of them back on the stake trucks. :WonderScratch:

A lot of yard work this week.  I think the worst of the tree pollen is over so I might get out there and wash down the deck and yard furniture.  May get started on the mud room overhaul by removing last few pics and patching nail holes and such.  And my next project... will start a thread by posting a question on it.

Same here, Cal. Yard most of the week. But this morning there's too much dew for me to do anything, so instead I'm playing mechanic. I have a front tine tiller I bought in the early 80s....purchased used it was probably 7-8 years old when I bought it. It's done a lot of garden and yard work since then but now it's time to say goodbye. The frame of thing rusted out and broke last fall, so I'm taking it apart to be thrown in the scrap metal bin at a local church. They don't make 'em like this anymore. It's actually kind of fun taking something apart you don't have to reassemble.

Monday was almost a bust. Did manage to get the shop building floor and walls cleared in prep for insulation. Then, I had to plan a funeral for a dead Dove that somehow found it's way into the shop. It's bloody carcass  was laying on the Shopsmith table. Have no idea how it met it's demise.

Work on the shop is nearly at a standstill until I can get the pieces of siding I ordered to seal up those 9 openings in the walls. Presently, they are closed with plywood. Last word from the metal fabricator was that he expects a delivery of the necessary profiles by today. Hopefully, they'll be ready by Friday.

Today's activities may include measuring and planning equipment and cabinet placement. Phyl needs some stuff from the store. That'll take up some time. I'm really getting kinda bored.

Still chipping, tucking and pointing.  All backside is finished and moving around the end.  Will tuck and point some of it tomorrow, I hope.  Also, have had grandchildren all day and will until Wednesday when Cox gets to their house to see what is wrong with the line.  I need a nap.

Oh, answered about 4 phone calls about fraudulent use of my Social Security.  Oh, all the paperwork.  :cowboy:

Hey Fred, we are sorta in the same boat here.  When I used my Craftsman edger the other day the handle broke off.  I bought it "well used" at a city auction probably 25-30 years ago.  It has been a good one, no telling how many miles of edging it has done.  A little 4 HP engine that always starts on the first or second pull.  I could weld the handle up, my experience says it will simply break in another spot if I do.  I'll keep it around for a bit on the offhand chance I can find another handle, but at some point I'm sure it will have to go.

Got a call at work today from my Mother.  Sometime around 1000 my Dad got light headed and fell and hit his head.  Died on the spot.  Was my Fathers wish and prayer that the Lord would take him quickly.  Mother seems to be taking it well.

Heck of a way to start the day.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Words cannot express but my Dad went in a kinda similar fashion.

My sincere condolences, Gunny.

My deepest sympathies to you, Gunny.  My aunt checked out this morning from a stroke.
