February 5, 20215 yr Popular Post Watch this video. I want to draw your attention to is the glue bottle and stand. A bit of some soft rubber a poly shaft and bob's yer uncle or maybe Bernadette's yer aunt That part is all too confusing.
February 5, 20215 yr Be easier to just close the bottle , and what happens when you pull a fresh bottle off the post and the glue flows. If you want the glue to flow faster when turned over just store it upside down, with cap closed.

February 5, 20215 yr Popular Post Maybe you guys should update your products. Both good brands, Elmers and Tite Bond have the lids built in. A person would have to loose the whole bottle like I do sometimes.................And Bernadette is my wife not my Aunt! And I apologize for I do buy both brands by the gallon and they do have removable caps then refill the small bottles when needed. Edited February 5, 20215 yr by Smallpatch

February 5, 20215 yr Popular Post Forget the box of $5 kindling. I'm going to invent a glue bottle with a tip that works.
February 6, 20215 yr Popular Post They sell these 8oz bottles on Amazon that have attached caps so I can’t lose them. They work great ..... until I lose the entire bottle. Paul

I snapped the attaching bit of poly in like a year.

February 7, 20215 yr Author Popular Post I do like this kid's idea. I'm thinking a rotating version. You put the bottle away and remove it in the upright position rotate the bottle upside down and the spout area never hardens off. Maybe use the original cap or make one from silicone calk and cast it into a bit of wood. the whole thing would need a base with about 2 pounds of lead in it or I'd be knocking it over all the time - - and a handle - and a little beeper so I could call it with my cell phone to locate it when lost and a flashing light so I could find it with machinery running, and a fluorescent pop up flag so I could find it in the clutter, and maybe a bottle opener so when I finally found it and lost track of why I wanted it in the first place I could drown my sorrows in beer.

February 9, 20215 yr Popular Post With Titebond, I have no problems. After finishing applying the glue, I close the top, take it and the brush to the hose and wash it all clean. If some glue scabs over the tip, it is easily removed after drying. It is all that I need.

Good idea and so disciplined! But my hose doesn't seem to be working too well in upstate NY. I do keep a container with water in the basement for cleaning up glue joints and brushes.
February 10, 20215 yr A small bowl of water works well, also. I learned this process while in the Navy. Have used it most of my life. Works well. Just as soon as you get your project clamped, excess glue removed, take the brush and bottle of glue to the dish or water source whatever is available and it is ready to go the next time.

February 10, 20215 yr Popular Post I am like Steve and like the TB glue tip. If the glue skims the top because I forgot to wipe it I just us teh metal end of the flux brush I use as a glue brush to pop it off and off to the races.
