January 29, 20215 yr Popular Post ...It looks like I know what I'll be doing this weekend. ... ...Shoveling another 5-8" of snow the weather person decided we need. ...So, What's on your weekend agenda?
January 29, 20215 yr Popular Post Looks like I may get a chance to share that delight along with you. But if I'm in the shop it will be finishing a couple of picture frames I have in the works.
January 29, 20215 yr Popular Post Probably spend a fair amount of time doing glue ups and milling for the ceiling tiles in the media room. Paul
January 29, 20215 yr Popular Post Installing shelf units I made. One of 3 completed. Rest need to be assembled tonight.
January 29, 20215 yr Popular Post According to the weather man, @Artie, looks like I'll get a chance to try out the new snow blower. So much for the "buy a new one and you'll never need to use it" idea!
January 29, 20215 yr Popular Post Yes, it appears that a whole swath of the midwest will be getting blessed with some white stuff by the weekend. Looking forward to the full reviews of the snow blowers.

January 29, 20215 yr Popular Post I consider snow to be a very bad 4-letter word....that I can very much do without. Have a box to build, and then see what is left over....Having Crab Salad for lunch.....hopefully, I don't completely miss another weekend...

That's not OCD, OCD is putting them in alphanumeric order. I think the snow is all north of us. Sorry "First Weather Alert" TV stations. You will try your best but not panic us. Yesterday, we had a light dusting and the City of Cincinnati's snow crew was on about half staff because of Covid and there were lots of fender-benders in town. I never made it past the suburbs and no problems there. This morning, I repaired 4 pieces that were donated to the furniture bank and had some damage -- two pedestal leg tables, an end table with a leg broken off, and another small end table with a Chinese scroll work that got broken off. Tomorrow is the first day of beginner's bee school and the only one in person. I'm teaching the session on building hives and frames and will have some hands-on demos prior to the Zoom session in two weeks. Edited January 29, 20215 yr by kmealy

January 29, 20215 yr Popular Post 11:00 am..........60 degrees and sunshine in Denver. Love it, you can keep our cold weather too
January 29, 20215 yr Popular Post Sunny here too. Going to a movie with son today and tomorrow a Zoom session for woodturning so maybe no shop time this weekend. Fixed a pocket door yesterday. The replacement wheels (all I could find) was too wide by 0.06 inch so had to grind a little. It did finally work.l

Some slides with narration and 4 parts of video. Tomorrow is just a hands on to see the parts and ask any prelim questions. A local vendor will be there to show all the equipment.
January 30, 20215 yr Popular Post So Keith, If I wanted 2 beehives in the yard what would the equipment cost not counting the hives? I'm referring to the smoke can, head net, and whatever else needed that I don't know about. Then, where do you get the bees?
January 30, 20215 yr Popular Post Inside cabinets installed into window sill. Outside this is what you see. Attached an old sheet to frame on back of cabinet.
January 30, 20215 yr Sanding's done, time to finish the toy box that mimics a Minecraft (video game) box: And I have again forgotten how to shrink the image size! Someone clue me in and I'll write it down this time. <sigh> Edited January 30, 20215 yr by PeteM
January 30, 20215 yr I did the same thing years ago. I was converting a small bedroom into a bathroom. The wall where I wanted to install the shower had a standard window directly in the middle. The outside had aluminum siding and matching it would a big job I didn't want to do. I installed shutters inside the glass and from the outside you'd never know it and inside was hidden behind the shower wall. As far as I know, it is still that way after 25 years.

I usually set the first # to about 400 and maintain the aspect ratio.
