This is same carving with satin finish.

I was waiting for the gloss lacquer to dry before I put on that last coat of satin. I think it looks better with no shine but is still slick as a newborns behind.

Great detail and a lot of patience.  More skill than I could ever muster.  i see the difference in the finishes and I've toned down the polyed ones from gloss to semi gloss.  Just my style.  For me, I like to plug the thumdrive in, hit go, and watch the chips fly.  Don't need much skill for that.  But the computer work can be a bit trying at times.  Well, most of the time.  Hats off to you.

I have found with the gloss the small details are lost.
