These seem to be all the rage these days.  Like "luxury" "Deluxe" "Towne" and "Centre" (end sarcasm).   But one may make it's way onto a gift list.   Anyone make one and have any guidance or pictures?

Mimi asked for one for Christmas. I had no idea what she was talking about until I looked it up. Seems to me paper  plates would serve the same function.

Anyway, I made 2 - gifted one to friends. Just scraps, 3/8" thick, rough dimensions in the neighborhood of 9" x 16". One for Mimi has a recess to hold a small ramekin for sauce/dipping. Added little stick on rubber feet. Mineral oil/beeswax finish. First image is with no finish.

The folks who got the gift thought it was a cutting board. They were thinking of getting a new one. So I made this to match the gift-

Dang! A day late and a dollar short..... we had one sitting on the dining room table for two weeks, delivered it to the recipients yesterday! Sorry, no pic. but it was probably butternut, live edge, about 10"x16", 3/4" thick, with two antique style drawer pulls for handles.

If the need arises I'll use my cutting board.

A couple of years ago, our adopted son's wife wanted a BIG serving board- not sure if they were even called Charcuterie boards then. I made it to her specifications. Not sure if she ever used it. Maybe she got it in the divorce.

Missed this the first time you posted . How did you get feet to adhere to that finish? Also what did you drill the hole with?

@HARO50 where did you get such a variety of handles, especially that one in front?

Sorry, those aren't mine, just a picture from the interweb.

I'm thinking to drill out a template and use a bearing or bushing router bit for the hole to hold the cup, er ramekin.

I’ve made several.  Here’s what I have I have in my Etsy store. The groove on the bottom made it easy to pick up.

@Gerald I applied the rubber feet before putting on the finish. For the "hole", I made a template and uses a bottom bearing flush trim router bit.
