Did your Arizona kin folks help any or was it a one man job?

Hey Jess, thanks for the kind words.  The BIL did help me with all of the electrical work.  As a retired/disabled electrician he really helped me last year with the kitchen project where the whole project was gutted and started anew.  This year he only made a couple visits due to the covid mess - but when he came he was most helpful.

I am taking on the stained glass work with vigor.

John, good luck with the home project.  Although our home is not 70 years old, I ran into several areas where; to save a buck and no building inspections, short cuts had been taken.  The worst example was last year where I had to replace the rim joist on the rear of the house.  That rim joist was not pressure treated lumber, it was not flashed and a deck had been hung onto it with the deck flooring above the level of the bottom of the rim joist.  For 30 years every time it rained the rim joist was soaked:(

Please post up pics of your glass work.  Even if it isn't all that great at first we can offer up some encouragement and watch you progress.  It's always great when someone posts up a pic of their completed "perfect" project.  I also really enjoy watching folks newer to the hobby post up their work and see their progress as they learn and practice.

Cal, awesome job and color scheme.

Wishing everyone a great week.  Trying to stay hydrated.  Having problems.

Thanks Steve.  The boss picked out the colors, I just applied them ;)

While there is nothing special about the color - just a soft gray, it is interesting as it sorta changes color throughout the day and the angle you are looking at it, from almost a green, to light gray to a darker gray and when the sun hits the floor and reflects up - almost orange!  In the first pic the kitchen walls are the same paint, but appear much darker without the lights on in that room.

Hope you do get your health issues resolved soon Steve, I know your neighbors are depending upon you :)

Seems I'll be going on a moose hunt on the last week of this month.

John, enjoy the hunting trip - I am certain your son will.  Post up some pics for us!

Nice job Cal, I like what you did on the ceiling to define the space. The floor is awesome.
