October 2, 20205 yr Popular Post We made it to October! Is everybody ready for Winter? Got down to mid 30's here last night. If the rain holds off this weekend I'll be helping my brother replace the rear spring shackles on his 2000 Blazer. ...So...What's on your weekend agenda?
October 2, 20205 yr Mimi decided it was time to take down the quick set pool, get mulch for the flower beds and shop for outside fall decor. Weekend is probably planned.
October 2, 20205 yr Popular Post Winter? BAH, Humbug! Waiting on the gas valve replacement for my furnace....as it won't start heating without it.....old one shorted out the relay on the transformer in the furnace....needed that replaced. Landlord's dime....but..it be getting a might cool around this neck of the woods.....traded in the DIET Mountain Dews for Hot Tea ( milk, no sugar.) and HOT Cup of Noodles, or Pho. Trying to get a little box done....waiting on clamps to come off, right now....
October 2, 20205 yr Popular Post I haven't been able to do too much this year. I started working on these "name" blocks for Christmas presents. They're cut from a 1.5" square block of a 2x4.
October 2, 20205 yr Trying some final touches on getting the yard ready for winter, along with some of the other stuff. Also putzing around in the shop trying to get a box for a set of auger bits that have been homeless for way too long.
October 2, 20205 yr Popular Post Went went to pickup the new puppy today and a friend is bringing some cypress over later. Tomorrow helping a church staff member put some knock down bookcases together. Yes I know sacrilege but I am only helping put this together and he is retired missionary and needs more stuff done like kitchen remodel. Well I may only advise on that one.
October 2, 20205 yr Got 4 Bowl blanks coming in tomorrow and I'm currently working on a Yellow Birch wood bowl as well as doing some video editing. The beauty of recording footage from two cameras. Edited October 2, 20205 yr by AndrewB

October 3, 20205 yr My weekend agenda is to stand up and move around! Spent all week on my hands and knees putting laminate and trim down in the living room - and I did get the lawn mowed yesterday also. So it is time to move stuff out of the dining area and prep for installation of the LVT. Plan to see if the Plymouth will start and go to a cruize in this evening. It is outside, masks and social distancing is easy to adhere to. And there is a UGA home game tonight, No. 1 SEC East (UGA) vs No. 1 SEC West (Auburn). Auburn has been a perennial spoiler for us. It should be a good, close game - it will be a great game if UGA wins
October 3, 20205 yr More orienteering scheduled. So far we've found HD, Lowes, Lumber Liquidators, Macy's, and some grocery stores. I already knew where the good lumber place were.
October 3, 20205 yr Getting ready for our fall desert trip. This year it’s a couple of very remote outlooks on the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Have to get the gas can rack and the tent installed on the truck. If time allows I will get started on turning the bubinga spindle for the fireplace tools. Paul
