October 1, 20205 yr So this morning I went over to home depot after paying the bills and picked up a few items to include a 4 and a half foot section of Yellow Birch wood. Just enough to make two bowls out of it which I plan on doing. I set the poplar bowl aside for the moment because it frustrated me it decided to pop off the lathe on me this morning while I was starting to hollow it out so I've got that set aside for now. How ever I took a few of the previous suggestions from thank you @lew and at @Gerald. I did wind up using a bit of sawdust to spread out on the glue between each layer of the blank. Well that solved my slipping wood piece problems. So we shall see how this blank turns out with everything in it. I think I will be doing this more often. Still have to grab more glue from home depot didn't realize I was about out of it.
