One of mine was bought new in '75. The shorty was bought in 2015. Never bothered to research it's birthdate. The older one was outfitted with a Jointech SawTrain and router table. The Saw Train came with a super accurate fence which doubles as the router fence. The shorty runs the band saw and 6X48 belt sander. It's also handy for dados and, the like and, I built a couple or 3 special purpose sleds for it.

Sadly, they're both in storage, now. It took me a half a day to break down the Saw train. I'm not looking forward to putting it all back together.

Thanks again to all that made this SS forum possible ! Some of the members know me from the SS forum and know that I am a total addict when it comes to SS’s. I grew up with a “greenie” and have had at least one in my shop for many years. Like Artie I bought my first new one back in the seventies. Now days my shop is a little bigger and I have 5 SS’s that stay set up in semi-permanent configurations. Two have the dvr motors and all are 510’s, one converted to a custom incra fence application. I use them daily in the shop. Can’t imagine woodworking without one.

Trying to reapply sandpaper to drill press drum sander attachment.  Anyone know a video.  It has a silver rod that comes out and you wrap the paper on.
