Yep, that and my generator that I think other than running once in a while to keep working, I think I've used twice, until I got a backup sump pump as the old one was touchy. There are a couple of times we've gone to bed an hour or two early. We now live in the country, but it's not much different than when we lived in the suburbs, one lot away from a sub-station

When the twin set moved a few years ago, they got separate rooms and unbunked them. Now one of them saw her cousin's loft bed and wants her bed converted to a loft. So that starts today. partly done. Need to get the bed to ensure everything lines up before I secure the rails.
August 21, 20205 yr Popular Post I have decided to try something I have never done before. I am taking a private lesson on making stained glass windows. I am making a head board of sorts for my grand daughter. I will be about 10 inches deep with a couple of shelves and two appx 14 X 16 compartments on each end that will have hinged doors and glass inserts. I thought stained glass inserts would be cool. Has anyone here done any of that? Anyway, I have never tried it so I am going to give it a shot. It kind of looks like fun.

I figured I needed a hobby that didn't involve climbing ladders! The cutting and grinding is no problem, but the finish soldering is a steep curve for me. I've only done the copper foil method, not much interest in the leading. Of course, stained glass is usually displayed hanging at a distance, so most people don't see the soldering. My favorite one is the eagle/flag. I've done two of these, one about 8x10, and one larger with an oak frame that I donated for local vet fundraisers. Just like everything else, there's a ton of information out there, and some of it is good! Have fun! Jim
