Carl Jacobson on YouTube has done some and they didn’t have a hard core.

 

Also I bought a cheap paint pot to use for a pressure pot. You can make one pretty cheap like that.

This is some great stuff for headlights and other plastics.

 I have turned many small pieces of Acrylic and it was always a mess in my lathe area and even in my chuck. I can only imagine how bad his lathe and area was after turning that much plastic.

I noticed he used a vaccum . Wonder how that is to empty and does it clog up the pipes?

For now I think I may be holding off on a pressure pot for another month or two I'll probably buy a few acrylic blanks to get used to them to see if I even do like it and then if I enjoy the acrylics I'll dive heavy into resin casting.

You might want to look at Liquid Diamonds. Friend who is into casting said it works without all that pressure and vacum an looks as good or better

I questioned him about that and he said he removed the screen from in front of the impeller. He didn't say about emptying it.

I just mixed added color and pored the FIRST Resin this is with the Liquid Diamonds.  So it was a 2 to 1 ratio and I'm hoping I did this correctly.  How ever we shall see if it was done correctly in about 24 hours or so.  Sheesh that stuff is MESSY.  Good thing I had rubber gloves.  I stuck it into a cardboard box JUST in case it decided it wanted to leak on me.  How ever I don't  think I'll have too much of an issue with it.  Its just big enough to get two pen barrel blanks out of as well.  I used a darker color mix as well.
