June 26, 20205 yr Popular Post Spent a bit of cash today...found out I'm a bit out of shape for walking 6 blocks round trip...cramps in me toes, cramp in the left calf....NOT a nice walk home.....at least I didn't fall flat on the sidewalk, this time So..what did just over $9 get me? Used to be $10....price was lowered to $7. The 2 extra bits were $2....then clean things up Top one is a Russel Jennings #9 (9/16") Bottom one is a James Swan # 5-1/2 (3/8") No idea about who made either the brace, or the #6 (3/8") bit... It did clean up nice enough.. It uses a thumbscrew to clamp the bit in place. Not too bad of a day?
July 1, 20205 yr Author Popular Post Was too hot outside...changed from a walk-about to a drive-about...and spent a little bit more.. The chuck was missing a few parts....1 out of 3 jaws..and all the springs....I can at least replace the chuck Cap was solid, threads looked good, just no bits inside..... New chuck installed, red and black paint renewed. Oiled the spinning parts... Knob on the crank has been freed up, so it will spin. Crank is stamped with the following info: Red Head MFG Co. New York No. 110 USA Might be a keeper....$10 + Tax
