For Shopping Links The Home Depot website lists this item at 134 dollars plus tax if applicable in your state. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-10-in-Compound-Miter-Saw-with-LED-TS1346/306939211 I did a search on Amazon.com and it appears that amazon does not carry the 10 inch Miter saw from Ryobi. So Set up with the Ryobi is pretty much PLUG AND PLAY. Of course youll have to hook on the clamp locking mechanism that it comes with how ever that you just drop into a hole thats pre drilled in the body of the saw bed. There is an OPTIONAL dust collection bag you can have on or off of your machine. The Miter Saw is quite compact. The saw blade comes pre mounted so nothing to mess with there. It is snug and secure. It does come shipped like this. So double bonus a saw blade does come with it. It is very simple to operate, you basically plug it in to a 110 volt plug and youre good to go. It has a couple of safety features that I do like. The blade guard. Seems like a very heavy duty plastic.... how ever I'm sure if there was a miss half with the tool itself and your saw blade would probably just chew threw that plastic like a hot knife through butter. How ever its a nice feature to have so you DO NOT CHOP OFF YOUR FINGERS. The night before I had glued up some wood projects for the lathe for wood turning. Out of 4 3 inch pieces of Oak and Polar I was able to get 3 projects out of the one piece. Now with that being said, the saw cuts quite nicely. It again in reference cuts like a hot knife through butter. There is a safety switch that you have to push in before you can pull the power trigger in the handle of the saw. Those are quite nice features I think. Over all if I would recommend this if any of you don't have a miter saw and are in need of one. Especially if you ARE ON A BUDGET. This would be the way to go. So far it lives up to what I need in a miter/chop saw. On the chop saw side I have not looked into the fact if I can take a 10 inch cut off wheel for a traditional chop saw and mount it on the same tool. I'm sure there would be some adapters you would have to buy in order to do that. But if you are primarily sticking with wood. I would say get one of these if you don't need anything bigger. Over all well built and it came well packaged.
June 26, 20205 yr Thanks for the review. Wish 10" saws were available when I purchased mine (7.5" slider from Hitachi)
June 27, 20205 yr Nice score. It amazes me how much it looks like my old Delta saw. Most everything is the same. Now that you are getting used to it, you may wish to check one thing. That is if the fence is square to the blade. My booklet that came with my saw said that the fence was set from the factory and not to bother with it. When I started cutting picture frame corners, I kept having a small problem, you know, just a bit off. So, got out the square and found the fence just a bit off. Put the blade down, bumped the square up to it, set the fences to the 90 degree side of the square. Did it a couple of times to ensure nothing moved and it is very nice. The old delta is 10 inches with everything looks so much like yours. Makes me wonder if Ryobi purchased Delta. Looks like a great machine. Looking forward to more projects by it.

I can see where this might be an issue dealing with bowl blanks and such. I have a 12" DCM Kobalt that I purchased to do stair treads. I am fixing to give this one to my son and was thinking about a 7.5" as a replacement. I would like it to be DCM though, I have gotten spoiled on that doing crown moulding and such. I looked at Lowes the other day. They do have a couple 10" DCB, but no 7.5 on the shelf.
June 27, 20205 yr @Cal When I went to look at the specs, I realized I typed the wrong size in my previous comment. The Hitachi I have is an 8 1/2 model (C 8FB). Mine is the first slider version. It cuts a board about 12" wide and a thickness of a little over 2 1/2". Sorry for the incorrect information.
June 27, 20205 yr I've seen an articulating 12" compound MS. Bosch, IIRC, and probably pricey, but not sliding saves quite a bit of space.
June 28, 20205 yr That’s the miter saw I have as well. It has seen good use for the past year. Thanks for the review

And yes, it saves a ton of room in back. And yes, a bit pricey! But, well worth it. An excellent tool. However, a slider, as @lew has said, will give you a wider cut. Mine will only reach 11.5" .
June 28, 20205 yr Popular Post Don't have a slider, for me it would stick out too far, but I do have a nice miter station set up making cuts much easier. Especially with a bad wrist and arm.
