April 22, 20206 yr Thanks, Jesse. I'll give them a call. Very nice of you to go to the trouble to list them with page #s and prices. Really appreciate it.
April 22, 20206 yr Author Artie I got off on something else and forgot to mention I would rather send a different piece to be carved that don't have a rose for your first try out. Those bits didn't have anything to do with building the rose anyway and it did take almost a day of thinking and doing just for the rose and it still needs lots more refinements. I am thinking more of the oak colored one that I said I cut into 6 pieces. It will have the screws installed in the back so you can figure out how I got that close to the edge without busting any wood...Its the pilot hole and the matching sheet metal screw that has to be right. I do use number bits and not fractional sizes. I don't have one ready to send so give me a few months or so! I also use bigger sanders but the bits I listed could do all the carving and the ruby bits can do all the sanding and smoothing if you are afraid of sand paper...I did list one diamond bit but it is a real small thingy for those real tight places...

April 24, 20206 yr Author Gun, I will ever shorten it a little more. Can ever remember how to spell it.
April 25, 20206 yr Author Popular Post Artie it didn't take 6 months, just one day. I think this would be better to start with since it don't have a rose but if anyone wants to start with the rose, its ready also. I will also send a picture so a person can tell where the low and high areas. Another tip... The pilot holes are mated up with the screws and if a person cuts the torque way down then you won't be busting the wood, BUT, turn up the torque and sit there and keep squeezing the trigger you can bust out every hole...The screws should be put in just enough to pull up the backer board. And remember the screws are for alignment of the pieces for when you are all finished with the carving and a finish if that is preferred, glue will be added then the screws are to make it all snug while the glue sets.
May 30, 20206 yr Author Well I gave this about a month and either no one ordered any bits from wood carvers supply or else they reneged on the promises of new corvettes each time someone orders something??? Just can't trust anyone anymore!! That's okay I only have one large garage that might hold at least two Corvettes...
