I took a few days off last week and traveled with the wife.  Over the weekend I put up chair rail in the sun room and did the necessary touch up paint to that and some ceiling trim I installed previously.  This week has lined up to be pretty busy.  Roofers are coming today to meet with the insurance adjuster to examine possible hail damage from last spring.  The existing shingles are no longer made and the company had a class action lawsuit over them; the insurance company said I may be SOL and have to try and file on the class action - the adjuster said maybe not if there is actual hail damage.  All of this was unknown to me until two weeks ago, roof doesn't leak, and I wouldn't know hail damage to an asphalt shingle if it bit me...

Other tasks this week, go inspect some auction stuff that is on the block tomorrow evening.  Start my outside spring chores, pruning shrubs and muscadines on nice days, work on a couple kitchen projects and picture frames for shop time and install laminate flooring in the sunroom when the weather does not cooperate.  I've also got to firm up plans for replacing the back deck I had to tear off last year, this is somewhat dependent upon what the insurance co. does for my roof.  And I may try and get back to the doc for this back/leg issue that has been ongoing since before Christmas.

All in all, looks like another week of lots of work with little to show for it at the end...

Got started on another one of those projects. Sometime back I received an email from the neighbor lady. In part, it said:

"I'm at the library and the woman that runs the children's area is telling me about her wishlist.  I thought of you and your amazing carpentry skills and giving heart."

Does the phrase "Danger Will Robinson!!" ring a bell!!

A small pretend "market stand". If I don't screw up, I can get away with a single sheet of plywood.

Saturday was a beautiful day.  We laid the stone for Ann's oldest sister who recently departed life.  They had rented a cabin on Wolf Bay, on the eastern side of Mobile Bay, where we went and spent some time together, swapping memories, eating goodies.  I made a spinach lasagna, 2 cakes, took salad and bread sticks.  I brought very little home.  In another thread I will show my rolling pins.  Gave away 3 of them this weekend.  Cared for the 2 grandchildren, so didn't get much done.
