When was the last time I got to turn a straight dowel?  Having been working on glass stems for last few weeks I didn't know how to act. Was done in 5 minutes. Of course this is just pine. Didn't even get my EWT out for it.:D

    That's really not the easiest task.  At least for me.  I usually do that on the metal lathe with automatic tool feed.

    Two passes with gouge then hit it with the skew. Touched off with sandpaper at 180.  Got two coats of poly before bed last night.
