January 6, 20206 yr Popular Post Spent the weekend getting the decorations put away, whew! On a woodworking note I did complete a printer stand for my downstairs "office"; was awaiting for the varnish to sure enough to move it to the house.
January 6, 20206 yr Popular Post Working on the cabinets for over the laundry area using some extra cabinet doors that the builder left. Cut the face frames and boxes to size and did the dados and rabbets in NY. Then transported them RTA to SC. Some preliminary finishing and assembly this week. Because I'm using the existing doors, there will be about 10" of extra space. Thinking about putting a ss rod between the two cabinets for hangers. Did the same program for a couple more roll outs for our builder grade kitchen cabinets. "Shop" is an undersized 1 car garage with minimal tools. Good thing that mother's patient! Jim
January 6, 20206 yr Popular Post Several years ago, we dumped Dish TV. And, we're too remote to get any aerial reception. So, those hours spent watching football are now spent in the shop. I'd like to say they are productive hours...well, a few are. This past Friday, Saturday and, Sunday were spent lasering some photos taken over the Christmas holiday. Got four prototypes done. Five more to go. Doing photos is a bit more involved than clip art. Prepping each colored picture at the computer consumes an hour or so. And, the burn takes about an hour and a half or, more. Then, there's the frames. Possible completion in a couple weeks...hopefully.

You would need some service like Hulu or Sling or similar. Jim
January 6, 20206 yr Popular Post A couple of months ago, I won a bid for a roll top desk from or county courthouse. With the business of the holidays, it sat in the garage. Just before Christmas, it got transported to the shop where it was totally deconstructed and stripped via card scrapers and other assorted tools. By the way, the tambour door took 3 hours to scrape and sand. Last week, I stained and finished it and Wednesday it will be brought into my office. The week will be spent renovating the office and most likely building a new printer stand. Pictures will be forthcoming.

I think that, with Kodi, I can fool their server to make it believe I'm in the UK. that MIGHT eliminate the buffering. I have both Hulu and Sling but, Hulu costs monthly $$ and Sling requires a hook up through my WIFI provider and Frontier usually won't cooperate.

Gene - I had that problem for awhile, but a direct wire to the tv bypassing wifi seemed to solve it on one tv. Not familiar with Kodi. Just dumped Hulu after the $10 increase. Good luck.
