Not sure what you are trying to accomplish .For the kits sold to make this type bowl in many shapes you use a bottom bearing bit and a template. The template is mounted to the blank and then either a start hole is drilled or the blank can be lowered into the bit. Then it is just a matter of routing out the inside with the bearing riding on the template.

That's how my candy dishes are made. But, you only get straight sides. I think Jack wants a dish/shallow bowl effect.

There ae no kits for this that I have every seen.. This jig was introduced on Woodnet by a guy who was going to get it patented.  Don't think it ever happened.  MAZORLOF or something was his name. Ths is a shallow key or change type bowl. It doesn't have a sharp radius from a router that you are thinking.

Shallow as in the picture with no flats in the bottom...

Pretty cool! Not nearly as complicated as some of the ones shown on the Internet

If the swivel base turns it ,then the rocking base motion lets it cut the radius out. Kind of like chair base routing....just spin till all radius are cut out...

Did you, by chance, make a template for this jig? I have been trying to figure out the correct arc for both the base and the router sled to make my own. My wife would like some stools for the kitchen island.
