November 2, 20196 yr Popular Post Had been planning to do this since last Christmas and today I got into it big time. I got the Ron Browns Best Off Center Chuck for last Christmas and have only used a couple times. After using tape, CA decided hot glue was faster to glue blank to sacrificial face plate. Did several at once by turning the overall disc straight on lathe and then put on Off Center. Designs are as varied as you mind can make them . For these will use a loop in the leather necklace and also turn a couple beads for either side. May get pinch bails for solid pendants with art design and dyes later. Backs not not finished yet so there are some fuzzies.
November 2, 20196 yr Neat stuff. I've tried these a couple times with a home made set up. Always meant to do more of them but just haven't. I like the rounded edge on these. Steve
November 2, 20196 yr I like those also and did try a few but with the setup I had they were not as good as yours.
November 6, 20196 yr Author Popular Post These are the first finished pendants. Now will be working on beads . I do not plan to add finish to them , just carnuba wax right now. What is the opinion on Slellawax?
November 6, 20196 yr I have had good success with it. But someone sent me a hard bar of Carnuba wax for pens and small stuff. That stuff is pretty good.
November 6, 20196 yr I am amazed by the many different projects you do! Also by how beautiful they all come out.
November 7, 20196 yr Author Dan that is just a burn in wire . There is just enough lip to catch I think on a couple I had to use a piece of sharpened Formica.
