Square website

I have never been interested in having a website but have had a few people ask is my turnings in a store. Don't know how but a email I got in march popped back up in the inbox. They will allow a website to sell for free. You set everything up with the tools and use either thier site or your own domain, as I see it this allows for easier site name. Cost is a little more at 2.9% plus $.30 per transaction. As I see it prices could be a little higher to offset the extra cost.

Got another email for referral and if someone sets up a regular account both them and me get $1000 in sales for 180 days at no charge and a friend took me up on that.

Now does anyone do online sales and what doe you think of it? What do you charge for shipping?

Gerald, you can set up a webstore easily using Yola, or Wix or other similar. They are very easy to do, and you can create your own transaction process through pay pal. Just an idea. If I am on the right track on this for you.

Also, have you thought about Etsy? Or Custom Made?

This was just so easy but may try some others as you suggest. I had thought Etsy was a little higher transaction fee

They may Gerald, but you would not have to have anything to do with website or domain names etc.

What is the website platform you are looking into? What's it called?

It is a Square site. Square is a platform allowing you to take credit cards anywhere for juts the transaction fee now of 2.6% plus $.10 per transaction. The advantage is could use credit cards but I do not think it does Paypal. I am not talking about paying my bills with this just to give people we meet an option to buy since we will not have a store.

Just a thought is that many of the folks I sell to may not have Paypal but that is a guess.

I'm really curious Gerald, can you link me to their home page?

Ok I get it! I thought You were wanting to open up a full website to sell your work, and for folks to purchase your work through your site and make payments as well. Sorry for my confusion.

So square is a payment system, got it. Thanks for the clarification. It also looks like you can start your own online store, very cool. Seems like a wonderful way to go Gerald.
