Thank you for the pictures.  My imagination wouldn't even go there.  Beautiful workmanship and project.

Steve I just noticed I wasn’t too far from you. We were in Panama City Beach last week.

Just about 100 miles away.  Good time to visit.  School has started and it is still warm enough to enjoy all the beaches.  Hope you had a great time.

Really well done, very pretty.  Good work!

We had a great time. The weather was good. We went to Apalachicola to visit Aunts and Cousins that I haven't seen in 40 years.

The transformer will turn a short chunk of wire RED HOT. That wire will slice

right through a glass bottle. You can adjust the transformer so the wire does

not burn off.

That kind of juice in my hands gives me the willys

Most train transformers are only around 12 volts. You cant get shocked put the wire will burn you quick... Nichrome wire works the best and I use 26 gauge.

If you happen to do this at some future point, please take a few pics for us.

Do you fasten the bottle down and handle the wire, or do you have the wire locked in place and handle the bottle for this?

yes that does look cool. Wonder how long the wire lasts? Also That bottle is not as thick as a wine bottle. Have to look for a cheap train transformer now.

A small battery charges would do too.  Maybe you already have one.

Last a long time if you use the nichrome wire.  Old electric heater element or a hair dryer element are sources for the wire.  They are meant to get hot.  Can even use the controls from them too.

or a hair dryer
