I made a new bowl. I am pretty sure the lighter wood is Maple and the rings are Cedar and Bloodwood. It is around 7 inches in diameter. I sanded it to 800 and finished it with beeswax.

Looking good here. See you are using expansion mode. I have been doing a lot more of that of late. I still sometime get too aggressive but no problems that did not turn out.

Impressive, those colors really pop out.

Nicely done.  Great colors too.

Nicely done! Nice shape on that.

Really well done!  Beautiful colors and the finish looks perfect.  Nice.

Thanks everybody. I will have to look up expansion mode to see what that is.

Ok I got it now. On the smaller bowls I think I will try a tenon instead. I had a small catch and a piece of the bottom broke out. I glued it back on and it is hard to see so I got lucky.

I like it well done.

Beautiful bowl Rusty.  Haven't see you around lately, glad to see that you are still practicing the craft.

Thanks. Been busy so haven't done much. I have had it glued up for around a month and it was killing me so I made time to go turn it. I have been coming in and reading often but not posting much. I have one more glued up to turn. I will try to get to it soon.
