If you have one and drink 6-8 bottles of water you should never have an issue. Can't tell you how many medics went nuts seeing guys chug those things. Then of course we had the idiots that used that muscle milk stuff, another kidney stone and other issues creator. I didn't use any of that and could bench 300lbs with ease. All natural. I have to agree. Most anything other than water will create kidney stones. Doctors have really stepped up in recent years citing research indicating that water is the best fluid for hydration. Like others here, I do love my tea and Grapico, I am no longer drinking them. Keeps off the weight and reduces the chance of those kidney stones which are so painful that you can be incapacitated for a day or so.
July 7, 20197 yr Nothing carbonated or sugared shall dampen my lips. Not even beer. Single malt is a different ball of wax. But, one a week or so is all I drink. The rest is water or UNSWEETENED iced tea.

July 7, 20197 yr I had to laugh reading about the baby food jars. When the kids were little they would NOT eat any of that stuff and only wanted whatever SWMBO and I were having. On the other hand, my neighbor has probably 10 shelves of parts in little glass bottles. YMMV.
July 7, 20197 yr When our daughter was little and beginning to eat, she preferred our table food. We had a small food grinder and mama would take the food out of the pot before seasoning. One of us would grind it up and she grunted until it hit the plate. Our son would eat some stuff, but rejected all fruit. At 40 years old, he still won't eat fruit. We didn't do much baby food. But, at the nursing home, that may be a different story. I hope not to find out.

If I need a sheet of plywood, I usually go buy a sheet - not ten or twenty of them As for honey, that is the only sweetener I use - and the only thing I use that for is my coffee. I get it by the quart jar from a local farmer who sells at the farmer's market and a couple stores that carry it for him. It is a lot cheaper than the store, plus it is "interestingly variable". This last jar I got is pretty light colored and he tells me it is mostly a spring wildflower honey. Where he is located that would likely be trees, shrubs and weeds like honeysuckle. Later in the summer the honey will be much darker and even thicker, and that will be mostly cotton flower honey. I ought to start buying a smaller jar so that I can get more and different flavors over the course of the year. The quart jar ($17.00)(tax included) will last me 3-4 months or longer, depending upon how much the wife uses for cooking.
July 7, 20197 yr Author Popular Post They say pictures are worth a 1000 words. Cal maybe a couple of pictures might change your mind. We were buying honey from a guy who parks along the road to town for some home grown stuff. I was paying 18 dollars a bottle for about 20 0z. Don't forget to remember the sizes. 96 ounces for 6.98 peanut butter and 80 oz of honey for 13.48 and every time I bought from the guy on the road I accused him of adding water for it was too thin to be pure honey... My 2 favorite honey flavors is from orange trees and clover blooms. When going to grade school in Calif. three of my class mates dads were bee keepers.. Every time we wandered through their processing buildings they would hand us some honey combs full of honey for some great snacks... many memorable times back then... You can check out their prices on line. Their groceries are the best bargains in their stores... Oh by the way I am a big popcorn eater for all my life....I buy the big bottle of Orville Redenbockerbecker {sp} brand which in my opinion will pop the largest size cornels. So how do I keep the rest fresh so the two month old or six month old popcorn will stay fresh and still pop big is to stored it in the freezer....And I use a great microwave container that is easy to clean and use. If interested I'll take a picture of it and try to remember the brand name.

They were clear on the instructions, one bottle to 6-8 bottles of water maximum of 3 per day. Medics were required to have quarterly meetings addressing this, and ask about water intake as well as Gatorade and muscle milk if you went to clinic. Now the list was not limited to just Gatorade, caffeine and other things were also listed. Take in mind they had to be cautious because in the middle of the desert in a base 1 sq mile we didn't have a lot of medical facilities. You didn't just go to hospital and get treated in a timely manner unless you got blown up, shot or burned. Yes, I had to make a couple of such trips. What I did find odd was they gave away cases of Monster energy drinks to the armed forces personnel. 18 yr olds drank it like coke. In no way is that good for you. But hey what do I know? I have one everyday, have a cup of coffee as well, but then water. I am not much for soda so that's about it for me. Now my Dad drank them all day for months with little water. Like anyone else he didn't care for the lack of taste with water so went with what he thought would be okay. Doctor said it's fine to have some, but again water is the key to preventing the build up. Many of the studies also show diet as a factor, another thing that if done in moderation you can have what you want. A side note for water. On a hot day, say 85F and up, ICE cold water is not your friend. Cool water is good, I am not crazy about room temp water but hey in the desert room temp was 120F so that's really HOT water. DO NOT pour COLD water over your head! We lost several guys to some medical condition I cannot remember that causes some sort of shock. The desert was th most hostile environment I have ever worked in. Lessons learned during that time really stick out to me. I worked outside all day, 12-16 hours a day, 7 days a week. Never had any issue with heat sickness, stroke, or fatigue. But the people I worked with were good at asking each other about water and keeping an eye out for the symptoms.
July 7, 20197 yr Popular Post My doc tells me to drink lots of water, but I do like to supplement that with a 7.5 oz can of Dr pepper from time to time.
