June 3, 20197 yr comment_192337 took a couple of pictures of this saw and miter box - still in the previous owner-built box. didn't see any marks on saw blade and the whole thing appears to be in fairly decent condition. have not priced and put on floor yet at the restore. someone will get a deal i suspect. June 3, 20197 yr comment_192345 That's an interesting saw Peter. And just as interesting is the box that was built around that saw. Hmm. Kind of neat actually, solid wood sides and ply front and back. At one time it looks like that ol saw got a ton of use for them to build a case like that, it was obviously a saw they didn't just throw in the back of the truck without protection, perhaps the original owner really relied on that saw to keep its accuracy and cut very good miters and crosscuts. Is there anything in the other till with the lid on it? Report
June 4, 20197 yr Popular Post comment_192430 Millers Falls Langdon... Depending on saw plate length, can be either a No. 74 ( 28" length) or a No. 75 ( 30" length) Box cleans up nicely...but that is one BIG saw... Mine is the No. 75 ACME. Report

June 18, 20197 yr Author comment_193815 Had another miter box and saw come into the Restore this last weekend. Don't know who made the box (and it's not all enclosed like the first one), but the saw is a Disston 3 bolt and they made a "shelf" under the box to store the saw. Hope to get picture tomorrow.
