May 22, 20196 yr Author They’re supposed to be well thought out, and put together, we shall see, maybe.
May 22, 20196 yr My FIL used the asphalt roofing for his garage/shed siding and 46 years later is doing well. The T1-11 on my garage was installed in 1997 and the bottoms have to be cut off. Where the rain splashes, it has split apart about 1 foot up. Hoping to put in new marine plywood and then cover with hardiboard. Edited May 22, 20196 yr by FlGatorwood spelling
May 23, 20196 yr Is this a dirty suggestion? Vinyl Siding?? Easy to work with, very forgiving on cuts most of the time. I keep scraps for smaller projects and rarely have to buy more than J channel.
May 23, 20196 yr Interesting Amazon offering. Too bad it's not just a little bigger and without the center walls -- would make a nice man-cave workshop https://www.amazon.com/Lillevilla-Allwood-Cabin-Kit-Getaway/dp/B01NAR617Y/ref=pd_day0_hl_86_8?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01NAR617Y&pd_rd_r=82f9e3a4-7caa-11e9-a045-19daa5a404f5&pd_rd_w=4mZw6&pd_rd_wg=tAwmW&pf_rd_p=ad07871c-e646-4161-82c7-5ed0d4c85b07&pf_rd_r=NQP22VVS34883WSG60DP&psc=1&refRID=NQP22VVS34883WSG60DP
May 23, 20196 yr Author The Jamaica cottage and sheds site has some similar, didn’t really check out the prices. To Mr Woodbutcherbynight, I think I know how to nail/screw some 2x’s together, kinda straight, level, and plumb. I don’t know me nothing about vinyl siding.

May 26, 20196 yr Author Popular Post Well my milk of human kindness has it’s limits. I told the MIL that I would demo the old shed, and build/install/research the new one. I also said that I would have nothing to do with the emptying of the old shed. Old shed is still pretty full. This probably has at least a 25% chance of not even happening. BUT YES, iff’n it comes to fruition, I will try to do a photo/essay narration on the project, on a par with John, and Jess’s, (no way I can do one as good as Steve’s) so all will know how NOT to build a shed.
