CORRECTION: That is Maple accent strip, The one I am doing now is Holly, I am changing the design a little, I don't like the way this one feels. I guess that is why I make a prototype. Herb Report

It does look thicker for some reason,Dave. It is a Stanley 1 3/8" block plane iron. A Hock iron would work good in these planes, but at $45./ ea. I can't afford that. Herb Report
