March 7, 20197 yr WOW! Another working piece of classic art. Very cool on the contour with the holly. Thanks for the extra work adding the medallion. Makes it that much more unique setting it "plainly" apart from anyone else attempting a copy. None finer than a "Dadio" handcrafted plane!

CORRECTION: That is Maple accent strip, The one I am doing now is Holly, I am changing the design a little, I don't like the way this one feels. I guess that is why I make a prototype. Herb

It does look thicker for some reason,Dave. It is a Stanley 1 3/8" block plane iron. A Hock iron would work good in these planes, but at $45./ ea. I can't afford that. Herb
