Thank you for adding me to the site. I read somewhere to bring doughnuts but we all know what that does to the waistline, anyway I can bring a lot of enthusiasm for our craft. I am a retired finish carpenter that loved to tinker in my shop on the weekends collecting tools and building things throughout my career. Now retired working out of a small woodshop I'm enjoying building furniture general woodworking and woodturning. I have included a few pictures and thanks again!

Thank you Lew, that wood was recycled maple from a job our company did at Oregon State University. It was 3x8 maple handrail out of a staircase that was headed for the dumpster.

Welcome again Joe. Thanks for starting an Intro thread and sharing your work within. I think the porch swing is still my favorite but you slipped that wine rack in and it's a a very close second. I love the style and lines.

 

You certainly have a well equipped, organized and clean shop. Glad you joined us and looking forward seeing more of your work and getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions, offer input or just have fun. We're open 24/7. BTW, my waistline already suffers from "furniture disease" so make my donut a chocolate cake with chocolate icing.

Very nice work.  I like the recycling efforts on the bowl.  The swing caught my eye.  I built one similar.

Also, clean shop, some wives actually look on the site.  Showing pictures of clean shops is NOT helping some people in this area.

Welcome to the crew , motley tho it is. Those are some nice pieces and the finish looks like perfection.

Of coarse you will have to get some sawdust on that perfect shop so you do not stand out in the crowd here.
