It takes poly and after several coats can look good on the face. But the edges, never. Even tried packing them with bondo and yes they were smoother but nothing like the real deal.
January 19, 20197 yr Agree with what's been said. While doing our home remodel I have been using FJP and making some trim myself (also pine) because everything else in the house is painted.
January 19, 20197 yr Author Popular Post Thanks all I guess it comes to personal preference. WE are going with Oak trim stained so the early grian is black and the late is brown. The joints have to be perfect and that is what I am good at.
