Popular Post Ron Altier Posted October 16, 2018 Popular Post Report Posted October 16, 2018 I have never even thought of turning a pine cone. I saw this picture and was amazed. I think It looks like most of it is 2 part epoxy. Anyone ever turn one? Tas, Cal, DuckSoup and 4 others 7 Quote

RustyFN Posted October 16, 2018 Report Posted October 16, 2018 You can do it in a pressure pot or vacuum chamber. The pressure pot is cheaper and easier. I use a pressure pot but might try using my pressure pot as a vacuum chamber with my vacuum chuck. Grandpadave52, Jim L, Cal and 1 other 4 Quote

I don't make pens and such anymore for slushy funds. Market is there, my desire to deal with it has diminished. But I thought I'd take a glance and so I looked at cost for this. Blank =$10 Pencil kit = $4-$10 depends on what kit you like, lots of options, gold, chrome, pewter, gunmetal So roughly you could have up to $20 in parts before you fired up the lathe, drill press, etc etc. Buy one at a show, I would guess $35-$65 each. Might find some on Etsy or Pinterest? I never sold any online, was busy enough with word of mouth at the time. Cal and FlGatorwood 2 Quote
