September 9, 20187 yr Popular Post One of my goals in my work, is to avoid using a sander. I have heard such great things about these scrapers, I went and purchased the rectangular and original scrapers from https://www.stewmac.com/ These scrapers will be used for my chair back slates and arms, and of course any other flat or curved work that demands a fine surface. I'll review them first chance I get! The Original below The Rectangular/Concave below A short video on the inventor and how to sharpen this scraper.
September 9, 20187 yr Ain't they just the bee's knees, though? Do heed the suggestion for the white wheel and light touch. Those scrapers and, that rasp you recommended, have all but replaced my files, the four in hands and, have totally replaced those flimsy scrapers. Edited September 9, 20187 yr by Gene Howe

I'll take your word for it Gene, have heard many great things about the ease of use, and the sharpening practicality of these scrapers. I'll be using them mainly on my chair back slats after they come out of the steamer for bending, I'll be able to knock down any irregularities and the raised grain that occurs during steam bending. I have high hopes for these tools.
