August 17, 20187 yr Author I used 3/4" poplar with a med walnut Danish finish. Made the pattern with notepad.
August 17, 20187 yr Harry, I like how you put the letters all together. That solves trying to glue them on wood one letter at a time....I use to do the hair pulling contest every time I tried!!
August 20, 20187 yr Great work, Harry Another great application to use is Inkscape. Inkscape Home Page Oh, did I mention it is FREE and there are great FREE tutorials on how to use it.
August 20, 20187 yr Gimp is another good FREE program. But, like inkscape, there's a steep learning curve.
August 20, 20187 yr If you are running Microsoft 10 Word Pad is already loaded and on older Microsoft 8 and 7 and so on they are there also.. It will have the word word somewhere in the heading... This is where all my letters and numbers come from. Dingle Berries has lots of character and fancy fonts I use also.
