Cool offset handle.

I've made them but with straight handles and used the bandsaw to "open" the top.

can a handle be added to the drop to make a another ''scoop''???

I don't think so because the scrap end isn't a mirror of the "good" one

if the handle was flanged to close the drop it'd be just a smaller scoop then wouldn't it???

I guess that would work. I hadn't thought of the flanged handle.

The collet is nice but a good four jaw chuck is more versatile.  He must make a lot of those scoops for sale.

45 min + to make = $45 or so. Of course, that's fewer €s.

Nevertheless, that was a very interesting video. Thanks, Cliff.

Making the video he took his time for visual purposes.  I'll bet he could turn one in 15 min.

Ya think? Maybe with Easy Wood tools. At least he wouldn't have stop and sharpen.:)

Speaking of EWT, just watched an Aussie video featuring them. They're spreading out. They gotta be in Germany, too.

But it is hollowed from one end. The end that is cut off has a huge hole in it

the flanged handle closes the hole...
