I did, then I removed it, it just an attempt to make a quick montage for you but it did not look good, so I removed it. Sorry.

Gerald I like your way the best and I have formed pvc around things but never around chisels. A person can scratch the pvc and some stain will color it wood looking or do designs on it and completely change its looks.

@Pat Meeuwissen, please see the gallery attached below. I initially posted the images into this discussion, but I changed my mind, I deleted the post and gave these wonderful images by Kari Hultman a home in its own dedicated gallery album, I thought it more appropriate, especially after the effort she went through just for us.

I will add more descriptions to the gallery album as time permits, but for now, I hope what we have provided is sufficient for your creative thinking on this subject.

Well here are my two first projects/repairs. 

First is my electrical pouch, before and after.

Here's project two, not perfect but functional. The sheath to replace the original chisel cover.

Its seen me thru about twenty years of service and now hoping to take it to the retirement.

Another leather piece, think I'm getting better. Axe guard.
