July 26, 20187 yr The triangular tubing was to prevent the animals falling from slipping on the slick floor. The animals deposit slick stuff on the floor also. Will a pallet truck be used inside the trailer ? If so the flooring will have to be able to support the weight with the small diameter wheels. Roly

July 26, 20187 yr Author Thanks all. I don't think this will ever be used to haul livestock. But they do have personal horses, so I would not rule it out as an off-time thing once in a while.

July 30, 20187 yr Horses even once it a while need a grippy floor to maintain stability and confidence. Plus my previous message about making it waterproof by adding drain holes that are completely sealed. Then after the horses weekend is over he must throughly wash out the trailer with bleach before putting in any food of any kind.
July 30, 20187 yr Sounds to me like he needs a removable floor. If the aluminum cleats go cross wise then a 3/4"plywood floor with 3/4' thick cleats could be used to keep the plywood from working out the back. When live stock are to be hauled just remove the plywood. Just saying, herb Edited July 30, 20187 yr by Dadio
