March 27, 20188 yr comment_144891 I was given two pieces of advise: 1) working past 5:00 pm is working Overtime, regardless of the time you started, and 2) taking a nap is doing something. I must be the odd man out. It took me 9 months to adjust. I received a phone call last month asking me if I wanted to come back and take a short term assignment in New Orleans. My wife saw me spooling up just thinking about it. I call back and said thanks, but no thanks. Danl Report

When the temps hit 100° and the humidity is 95-100% you'll be glad you passed it up. Report

When I retired, the plant manager came dowm, shook my hand, and said "I don't know what we're going to do without you, John." I rep[lied "Probably shut the plant down!" Five weeks later, they laid everyone off, and closed up for about five months. That was nine years ago, and they STILL aren't operating at capacity! Report
