BUT.... you own a Bridge City tool! Weave THAT fact into casual conversation, and your rating as a woodworker goes through the roof! First thing you know, you're being interviewed on the local TV station, and THEN.... well, the sky's the limit!

I bought the JointMaker II along with the Precision Fence, waited  over 18 months for delivery. It was the most beautiful tool you could ever imagine. Every detail super precision. It was that tool like a table saw where the blade is a fixed Japanese pull saw blade and the work is clamped to a sliding table that slid on Linear Bearings & Linear Guide shafts, almost frictionless. Then you cut by raising the blade in increments and sliding the work back and forth. It would make a crosscut of .005" thick, if required.

I used it a couple of times and decided that it was not for my type of work so I sold it.

There are a following of BrigeCity Tools that collect them, and never use them, gun collectors.

Thanks to my gift, I started my collection. Thanks to the costs, I'm done collecting.:o

Since they are limited production tools, they hold their value, I have heard.

Turners don't use squares much but I have a couple hood ones.  Drafting squares are quite accurate and cheap.
