Gonna post this a day late for my friend John Moody.  Seems he has pulled up lame and either (a) he'll heal soon or (b) we'll have to put him down.  Hopefully, everyone survived Thanksgiving and Black Friday and are preparing for Cyber Monday.  I have to admit that I don't get the warm fuzzys about Christmas because it has all turned too commercial but anyway, on the the Friday post.  I spent this week building a pair of hanging shelf racks for my niece.  Her two sons are really into sports and the racks have a shelf for baseballs, one for a basketball and the top two are for trophies.  At the bottom are hanging pegs.  The racks will be supported by a pair of french cleats.  That's what I have done but what's on your weekend agenda?

Nice rack, Ron :P!

Putting the finish on 2 cake platters. Getting close to having all the Christmas presents made. Installed a Wen air filter in the basement shop. 3 speed, timer, remote. 300, 350, 400 cfm. Very quiet.

i had a sick horse once, and i asked what to do about a sick horse.  they said i should shoot him.  so i shot him, and now i have a sick horse with a gun shot wound.  if he doesn't get better, i'll have to shoot him again.

:)

I make a couple dozen toys for the local Akron Children's Hospital every year and got started on them.  I'll post pictures when done.

Just talked to him and he's miserable.

It lived up to all the hype and then some...the FCS Championship play-offs are up in the air and in a quandary now especially after PITT beat Miami yesterday.

With the major conference championships next weekend, the plot will thicken too. It's been a great year of college football. Much more parity...

just back from a small art show. I had two choices hit the shop to get ready for next weeks show or sit in my chair and enjoy a cocktail.

So you're out in the shop right?

Don't even recall Friday now.   Saturday was a full day at the Restore.   Paid for it later but the hot pad on broil helped.

It's been one party after another. Turkey day, followed by Crustation day for our sons' birthdays then last night, a HUGE party for our DIL' s 40th. She's of Mexican descent and has quite a large extended family. Probably 50+ people attended. Had Carne Asada, grilled chicken, lamb and, a selection of salsas made by her 85 year old grandmother. She hasn't lost her touch! And, the desserts were sinfully delicious. Great food, great people. Great fun.

Anxious to get back to the mesa tomorrow, though.

good news, the horse is fighting hard to get better.  he tapped out in Morse code "don't shoot me again", so he'll get an apple with his oats. :)

off to the shop to edge band the tops of 12 drawers (plywood sides).  that's a lot of drawers (8 more later).  they are for my wife's work table in her studio.  store lots of crafty stuffs.
