November 9, 20178 yr Popular Post Don't think I've posted these here, but ran across the photo doing some searching and clean up. These were made from mostly re-cycled cedar (legs were from Restore, slats from old rough-sawn siding). They come apart and the seat slides into the back making a compact and easy to carry package. I keep them in the camper for outdoor seating.
November 9, 20178 yr Nicely done! A historian friend said this design dates back to at least the Civil War. I made a couple for a friend- a Stanley Bostitch salesman. He used to take them along when he did demos. One day he left one unattended and it disappeared!

November 10, 20178 yr Nice re-purpose of materials... They actually look pretty darn comfortable too.
November 11, 20178 yr They are comfortable. Made a bunch for family years ago. Mine were oak. People loved them but complained that they were too heavy for camping. They are pretty heavy.
