Grandpadave52 Posted February 18, 2018 Report Posted February 18, 2018 (edited) @Stick486...I received emails from Festool, Highland Woodworker, Rockler and I think Woodcraft all with the same announcement. I'm pretty sure they invoked a price increase last year about the same time frame. Fearful they might lose their position as the highest price tools out there I guess. Dadio Posted February 18, 2018 Report Posted February 18, 2018 Just yesterday I had to cut off a piece of wire shelving. So I grabbed that little HF straight grinder cut off tool with a disc in it and whacked it off in no time, love that little machine. Herb HARO50, p_toad and Grandpadave52 2 1 Quote

Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted February 18, 2018 Report Posted February 18, 2018 Dave, I think it's an annual event at the same time each year. Festool fans look at it as an opportunity to buy more stuff. p_toad, HARO50 and Grandpadave52 1 2 Quote

Festool fans look at it as an opportunity to buy more stuff. Well they (Festool) priced themselves out of my budget several price increases ago...MAYBE if I was making a living using theirs tools could I justify the expense...At least I could list them as capital investments and depreciate the expenditures over the course of 5 or 7 years. Not knocking those that have them...I just know their tools are not a wise investment for me. Fred W. Hargis Jr, Dadio and p_toad 3 Quote
