September 5, 20178 yr Looks like a two axis piece. Could have been turned as a big ball and then split in half and remounted to turn the inside of the bowl. Might be two of them out there.
September 7, 20178 yr Have looked at this several times and think I know how. Has to be done by starting between centers to turn a large ball. Then turn the concentric lines on the entire ball and 2 rings (rings because they will look like Saturn rings). Cut this (or part) into two halves (this could make 2 bowls). Then hollow and turn inside rings. The problem I cannot figure is how to turn the inside , that is how to mount it. Thinking maybe on faceplate with the screws going between outer rings, then the inside turned till get to screws tehn inside done by power carving. Any ideas?
