Call me frugal, cheap or just a plain 'ole woodhack, but if I spend $685 I'll probably waste it on, Oh, IDK, a 14" band-saw, a new table-saw (pre-CPSC interference), maybe a lathe with a full complement of tools or ???? I'm pretty sure FT won't miss my business nor me their "special priced" tools.

The table I'll be gluing up is 4' x 7' so I need a good size top. Found this while searching today. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/51/be/cf/51becfe68345dfafd7eede656d4bc143.jpg Could add a set of adjustable levelers to one side of the supports to get it flat and level. Throw some ply on top for the final assembly?? Dan, your suggestion while very handy would not get past the budgeting committee (aka my wife lol) You could put leveling legs or all thread on one side to adjust to flat and level. Using all thread , drill hole in 2x2 and put tee nut in hole to allow adjustment.

I then built a table top that clamps in the table vise. It can easily be removed to use the table vise or to put another size top on. Mine has become my permanent small projects table and I have it modified somewhat like a jewelers bench. It is still removable, if I want I have one of these and use it with a dolly to move my shoebox planer around.

July 19, 20178 yr At one time, Menards carried 1 1/8 thick particle board plastic laminated on both sides, one side was white, and one side maple colored. I think it was 4 x 8, but not too sure about that. That, on a couple sawhorses, would be pretty substantial.

Here is one I found that always for adjusting all the legs individually, as well as the height. Your search term helped me find it, thank you. Because the driveway is so "wonky" I think these will work better.

Maybe you've both already looked at these IDK...if not another idea for you to ponder. Each leg is individually adjustable... Stanley Adjustable Sawhorse---Lowes
