July 1, 20178 yr I used to work with a guy who said he'd tighten bolts until they snapped, the back off 1/8 turn. Depending upon wood species and coloring, a touch up might work. But a do-over would be better.
July 1, 20178 yr Might find a piece with similar grain and do a Dutchman patch. But it will still be visible.
