I remember in the 70's the big thing was to inlay cards and chips in those wood spools, looked like a game of poker.

A neighbor across the street in th 80's gave me one he had when he moved. it had about a 1/4" of epoxy over pennies on the top. I put it in the back yard for the kids to play on.
