Does anybody have any idea what type of wood this is? It is a stump I took out in the front yard. Don't know how long ago the tree was cut down but it wasn't there when we moved in two years ago. Looks like it has some beautiful grain. I am going to make a couple of bowls when I get a bigger lathe.

    Yes I also think Box Elder. I removed an Box Elder old stump and got some great red markings too
