Shucks I was hoping there was walnut in your neck of the woods. I just couldn't see any trees going down the road but hey I'm a good driver and don't do any rubber neckin. while behind the wheel.

Not to hi-jack Patches thread here, but are you all OK in that part of the state Cal? I saw several parts were hit pretty hard with the storms the last 24 hours

Hello Dave, we are all ok here.  The worst of the storms, both Monday & Wednesday, sort of broke and went around us.  We had some tremendous thunderstorms - but not a whole lot of rain, no hail, and thankfully no tornados.  It was actually much more windy today than Monday or Wednesday.

Thanks for asking,

Cal

There is walnut here in these parts. Small and sparse. They seem to like water. It's also small and sparse.   Don't think you'd see any trees from the highways. They're down in the canyons where the water is....sometimes.

Very touchy John.  As I moved around the map I would either zoom out to world view or zoom in (to some place in Antarctica) before I could stop it.

I did attempt to put my location in and it just stayed there with an arrowed circle for about a minute before I moved on...

Sorry about the spinning wheel Cal, that is a permissions thing, right now it's set that members markers must be approved, it should not be that way, I'll fix it when I get in later.

Home of the Spangler Candy Company. If you've ever had a Dum Dum sucker it was probably made in Bryan.

Used to be the home of the famous Etch a Sketch but they sold that part to a company I believe is in Canada.
