    Thanks everyone, for all the input.  I actually was able to purchase some used Robert Sorby tools from another turner at an extremely reasonable price, so I got the best of both worlds.  Good quality, cheap in price.  I was ready to pull the trigger on the Crown tools, and with the consensus of opinion being to not go that expensive at first, I decided to rethink that option.  Y'all saved me some money.  Thanks again.
