IMG_0974.JPGIMG_0975.JPGSpent most of my week working on these lathe safety shields. Removable leg floor brackets with color code for assembly. Had the plastic almost 20 years from a closed drug store. Added a broshure rack , stand offs. and loops to lock stand against lathe.

I shoot steel. Have a 10, 6 and 4. Only shot with the 4 once at 30 feet no hit yet with G2

Those are really nice and portable. Nice job!

Hey, Ron - which "Dave" are you referring to?????

Well, guys, it wasn't a total loss - met some great folks and sold the Apostle's Clock AND found a great fish house

Man I wish I was Ron...instead I'm in misery with a good old fashioned Indiana head cold...

On the other hand...Fred was in Florida for the weekend...while the flea market apparently had more fleas than customers, sounds like he still had a good time and good food...

Sorry about that old fashioned Indiana head cold, Dave. Maybe next time, head into the city and get a modern one.

Seriously, I hope it gets better sooner than later.

Thanks Gene...I think that's the problem all that time in the city and at the hospital...I'm guessing that's where I drug it home from... The "big cities" are festering pots for illness...

Seriously, I hope it gets better soon too...reasonably decent weather is forecast all week...I'd like to participate in some of it unlike that whip arse groundhog:P

Man I'm totally confused.  Must be a 60's flashback.  Bummer about the cold.

saw a FB post yesterday, some boat captain running a fishing special.  5 hours on the water, $50/hour (so $250 upfront), up to 4 people (at $250 each, so $1,000 total, or $200/hr to the captain) to go fishing.

no assurance of catching anything, but you get to go out on a boat for 5 hours and maybe catch a fish.

now if i make you something (you are assured of taking home something), and want to charge you $50/hour for my knowledge and expertise, you likely will shop for something inferior at Ikea or Wallymart.

amazing.

That's why I have a plaque that saysk "Fishing is Mandatory, Catching is Optional"  :)

That's a lot of money but I would imagine an ocean worthy boat capable of carrying 5 or more people would start at something over six figures. What little I know about such things makes me believe electronics, loran, radar, gps, ship to shore radio, depth finder, etc. etc. would add several more thousand. Oh yes, let's not forget liability insurance, on top of property loss insurance. Marine engines use a LOT of fuel and marinas have a captive market when selling it. Boats are high maintenance and like everything else, it's expensive. I've been told, owning a boat is kind of like floating a picture frame on the water and throwing money in it.  It's also likely the captain has created structure on the ocean bottom that only he knows the location of, so your chance of catching is greatly enhanced. 50 bucks an hour is probably more reasonable than a person would think.
