I have PIP photos of several projects and this is one I was very proud of. This is a cradle I made for our grandson 12 years ago and he is almost as tall as me now. Mainly went by a NYW plan. I changed the rockers slightly and added a star inlay, for which I wrote him a poem which his mother framed.

This is the side with finger joints cut. and shaping .

This is the template I made for the star.

I can't imagine doing all of those finger joints on a the splayed pieces!

Fine, really fine. Beautiful work.

Very nice...I would sleep in it :)

That is really neat!!!

That cradle will get passed for many generations to come

Great Job!!

Wonderful piece of furniture Gerald.  I like the dovetailed corners real well.

Absolutely stunning Gerald...the wood, the finish, the inlays, the finger joints...what a labor of love you gave your grandson and for generations to come.

Thanks for taking the time to share...anytime you want to pull out some more PIP's from the archives please do. Projects like this are timeless.

Very nice.
